Hypertension is directly linked to many serious health problems (Heart Disease, Strokes, Diabetes and Kidney Problems) and once picked up can usually be easily managed by your family Doctor G.P.
Blood Glucose/Sugar (Diabetes)
The NHS estimates over two million people in the UK have Diabetes and 750,000 have it, but are unaware of it. With figures this high, early detection is of paramount importance. This quick and simple test that measures random blood glucose/sugar levels from a drop of blood. Can detect undiagnosed diabetes or the early signs utilising the NHS and Diabetes UK guidelines. This proves to be a very effective tool in the recognition of early or undiagnosed diabetes. In a person with diabetes, the level of glucose/sugar in the blood is too high. This is usually because the hormone Insulin is either not present or not working properly. Once detected treatment can range from simple changes in the diet to medication but is usually managed by your G.P.
